Little known Places: Beautiful Thego

As you may have noticed by now, a few friends and I have been going around Kenya looking for interesting and sometimes undiscovered (by city folks like me) places. You can follow our trips on twitter under the hashtags #OneTouchLive and/or #ShootingKenya.

This time the roads led us (@truthslinger, @mwarv, @gummybear254, @nonimutua on twitter) to a little known but extremely gorgeous place near Nyeri called…. Wait for it…. Waaaait for it… Thego! I again carried all my heavy photography gear (you know by now that’s my trusty iPhone… all 140 grams of it… Oh and a 20 gram piece of cloth to wipe the iPhone lens incase I fell in the water again…and I did) Yes, it was time to get going…. To Thego… And… Let go… From the get go… Ok… I’ll be quiet now and leave you with a map and a few images from that road trip at and on the way to Thego. I’ll be on that pile of seats right there if you need me.

Enjoy!

    • Thanks Zawadi… And it IS absolutely breathtaking. At some point we had to sit down for a minute and just take it in… Especially how chiseled the natural cliffs looked. Hehe… Asante :-)

  5. That part of Kenya is so breathtaking, especially the fields in Timau… did you come across the ones that look like they’ve been mowed in rows? Love them.

I love the photo of the tree trunks… reminds me of a group of elephants standing together, their legs usually look like tree trunks. :-)
